Morning: Getting Ready and Pre-Ceremony Excitement

8:00 AM – 10:00 AM: Getting Ready

The day begins with laughter, love, and a touch of anticipation. Bridesmaids and groomsmen gather as you prepare for your special day. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast, share stories, and relish the quiet moments before the festivities begin.

10:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Hair and Makeup (Photography begins)

Pamper yourself with professional hair and makeup artists. Take your time to ensure you look and feel your absolute best. Capture these moments with candid photographs, immortalizing the excitement and joy.

Afternoon: The Ceremony and Joyous Celebrations

12:30 PM – 1:30 PM: First Look and Bridal Party Photos

Share an intimate moment with your partner during the first look. Capture the raw emotions in photographs before the whirlwind of the day takes over. After your first look and a few photos we’ll photograph the full bridal party, bridesmaids and then groomsman. We strategically do groomsman last because they’ll typically start welcoming guests to the wedding when we finish…or they go back to their getting ready area for a little bit!

1:30 PM – 2:00 PM: Guest Arrival

Guests start arriving at the venue, greeted by warm smiles and perhaps some light refreshments. The atmosphere is abuzz with excitement.

2:00 PM: The Ceremony

Exchange vows in a heartfelt ceremony surrounded by loved ones. Let the love and promises exchanged set the tone for the celebrations ahead.

3:00 PM: Cocktail Hour and Family Photos

While you have your couple’s photos taken, guests enjoy a delightful cocktail hour. Meanwhile, gather with family for cherished photographs that will be treasured for a lifetime.

Evening: Dinner, Dancing, and Farewell

4:00 PM: Reception Begins

Invite guests into the reception area, beautifully decorated to reflect your style. Enjoy a sumptuous dinner, complete with toasts and well-wishes from family and friends.

6:00 PM: First Dance and Parent Dances

Take the dance floor for your first dance as a married couple. Follow it up with dances with your parents, creating heartwarming memories. Dance floor can be opened up for guests so they aren’t left sitting wondering what’s happening next.

6:20 PM: Sunset Photos with Bride & Groom!!

This is where the magic happens! These are the photos you’ll love and cherish for the rest of your life! We’ve been waiting for this moment all day! We use apps to determine where the sun will set and give us a rough time estimate in case trees/mountains block the sun. We select areas ahead of time we deem most worthy of our Golden Hour photos!

7:00 PM: Cake Cutting and Dessert Bar

Indulge in the sweetness of the moment as you cut the wedding cake. Guests can then satisfy their sweet cravings at the dessert bar, featuring an array of treats.

10:00 PM: Grand Exit (Photography ends)

Bid farewell to your guests under a shower of sparklers or a canopy of twinkling lights. It’s a magical ending to a perfect day.

Remember, this timeline is a template – feel free to adjust it to fit your unique style and preferences. Your wedding day is a reflection of your love story, so make it as special and personalized as the journey that brought you together. Here’s to a day filled with love, laughter, and beautiful memories that will last a lifetime. Cheers to your perfect day! 🥂

Special Notes:

As a wedding photographer, I understand the importance of family photos in capturing the essence of the day. To ensure a smooth and efficient process, it’s crucial for couples to provide a detailed list of specific family groupings beforehand. With a well-organized plan, I find that dedicating approximately 30 minutes to an hour for family photos is usually sufficient, depending on the size of the families and the number of combinations desired. Clear communication between the couple, their families, and me is key to swiftly move through the list, capturing all the cherished moments without disrupting the flow of the wedding day. This approach allows everyone to enjoy the experience, resulting in natural and heartfelt family portraits that the couple will treasure for a lifetime.

Embrace the joy of your wedding day with confidence. A well-built timeline not only captures moments but also creates memories. With a meticulously planned schedule, you can savor every second, dance freely, and cherish the love that surrounds you. Let the moments flow seamlessly, and relish in the magic of your celebration. Your dream day, perfectly orchestrated, for you to enjoy every beautiful moment.
