Who we are…

We are Tabatha & Jake McAnally, a husband and wife duo! We have been married for over 5 years and launched McAnally Moments shortly after tying the knot! We realized that our passions and strengths perfectly fused together, creating the best dynamic for a successful photography and videography business, and we have been loving every moment of this beautiful journey with McAnally Moments ever since!

Jake

is the unmatched artistic talent that has set our work apart from others in the industry. Jake’s passion for capturing things through his camera lense began with nature and surf photography in his hometown, Pismo Beach. Fun fact: he self-taught himself how to use a DSLR camera from watching YouTube videos! He has never taken a photography class! With encouragement from friends and family, he began photographing alongside well-known and established wedding photographers in 2013, and he quickly fell in love with the wedding industry!

When not behind the camera or editing, you will likely find Jake spending time with his family taking his daughter on mini adventures, on a mountain bike trail, chugging an endless supply of Dr. Pepper, or sniping from hills and rooftops in Call of Duty. His laid back personality and never ending (sometimes) funny jokes are sure to make you feel at ease and enjoy your experience being in front of his camera!

Tabatha

Her passion and love for people, strength in building relationships, and business savvy skills helped bring Jake’s artistic career dreams to life, and Tabatha fell in love with creativity behind the lense in the process! Tabatha is McAnally Moments’ main point of contact, handles all day to day business operations, and McAnally Moments’ support photographer/videographer. Her friendliness and bubbly personality is sure to make you feel at ease during your session/event. Tabatha graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 2011, and spent 7 years in the legal field, including 2 years at UC Hastings School of Law, before realizing the work-life balance and lifestyle she dreamed of was better fulfilled in the self employment industry, supporting and helping build her husbands dream of being a full time photographer. When not working, Tabatha leads a non-profit, MAEVE South San Joaquin, supporting and empowering mothers and encouraging community involvement, spends quality time with her friends and family, and focuses on raising her daughter. She loves crafts, homemade gift-making, strong coffee, and party planning and decorating!
